Our very own Adrian Volpe had the opportunity to work with and coach alongside Ottawa's Senators goalie coach Pierre Groulx. This is what Adrian had to say about his experience.

"Recently I had an opportunity to work alongside one of the NHL's best goalie coaches Pierre Groulx. I will bring all the knowledge and expertise I have gained through this amazing experience to enhance the abilities of our Kenesky goaltenders. In addition to being a great experience, I had the privilege of gaining a new friend of such great stature from the hockey world. I am looking forward to the start of this season and working with our goalies again."

Adrian Volpe played his minor hockey for the Burlington Eagles Rep Hockey Club.

In 2006 Adrian was drafted into the OHL by the Mississauga Ice Dogs. In the 2007-2008 season, Adrian was a member of the Niagara Ice Dogs of the OHL.

From 2008-2010 he was a member of the Fort Erie Meteors of the GOJHL and with the OJHL Oakville Blades.

In the 2010 season, Adrian made the decision to move back to his hometown of Burlington and play for the Jr A. Burlington Cougars where he was the Tom Neziol and Mr. Cougar award winner, in addition to leading the Burlington Cougars to a Conference Championship.

Adrian would then go on to play 4 years in the CIS at Brock University graduating in 2015 with a degree in Sociology. In addition to playing hockey and attending his classes at Brock Adrian would also take on the role of President of the Athletic Council in his graduating year.  More recently he has just finished playing 2 seasons, overseas in the NZIHL (New Zealand Ice Hockey league) playing for the Southern Stampede where he would go on to win team MVP and 2 National Championships.

As a goaltending, Coach Adrian focuses on the on- ice and off-ice aspects of becoming a better goaltender. Adrian believes in mentoring goaltenders with all facets of the game but places special importance on building a strong foundation for young goaltenders.

John grew up in Hamilton Ontario playing for Hamilton Huskies Rep Hockey Clubs. In 2013 season John joined the Blyth Bruins Academy U18 Prep Team. He posted an outstanding .933 save percentage with 20 regular season wins and would backstop the team to the NJPHL Championship.

In 2014 John had the privilege of attending an open tryout with the Windsor Spitfires OHL team. Getting the opportunity to train and compete against some of the best major junior players was an amazing experience. John joined the Lakeshore Canadians of the GLJCHL before a brief stint with the Burlington Cougars later that year.
